Dr. Richard Root is a founding member of Twin State Psychological Services. Dr. Root and his Associates provide Psychological Assessments for ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Memory Problems, Alcohol and Drug Disorders, Behavior Problems, and Learning Problems. They also provide Psychotherapeutic Services, which is a collaborative process between a psychotherapist and an individual addressing psychological problems. Scientific research shows psychotherapy to be the treatment of choice in solving psychological and related health problems. Dr. Root recently wrote an ADHD Manual for the Community High School of Vermont and has developed an ADHD Skill Training program for late adolescents and adults with ADHD. Dr. Root is a lifelong resident of Vermont and is currently Vice Chair of the Vermont Board of Psychological Examiners. He recently received an award for his Outstanding Contributions to the Field of Clinical Psychology in Vermont from the Vermont Psychological Association. His lifetime professional and public service goal has been to ongoingly improve the quality of psychological care for the citizens of Vermont and New Hampshire.
